In retrospect, maybe I could've finished a song, and made it a hit, if I'd just used these Four Chords:
Oh well, next time.

The Best Laid Plans
I procrastinate. I swear, I may as well get paid for it - its all I do. Which I why this blog was going OK until I set myself a structure to follow. Basically, I shot myself in the foot. I have since realised that the blogs I follow don't actually have a structure, they're more spontaneous with their posting habits, and also tend to be more emotive. Thus, it occurred to me: if those are the types which I like, then naturally that should be the type which I make.
I lay down plans for myself all the time, but I rarely see them through. Especially the better ones. If I know exactly what will happen, and there will definitely be no surprises, then I'm less likely to follow them to the end. Whereas, if anything goes and anything could happen, I'll jump at the opportunity to be there and watch events unfold.
Which is why so much of my work remains unfinished.
Any of those out there who know me personally can vouch for my more musical tendencies, and how sometimes I pour literally all of my time into a project. However, what they don't know is the percentage of those which actually get finished - a number which lies somewhere between 3 and 5%. Those few that are complete usually count towards a grade as well. Apart from those, my compositions usually end at just lyrics, or just a melody, or even just a fully-orchestrated introduction.
If I can't even finish something that lies so close to my heart, is there any hope for other things?
Honestly, probably not. Gosh, uni could be fun!
Anyway, I'm rambling. I've gone so far off on a tangent that I can't even find the circle in my mind again, but I think my point was something like this:
If everyone plans went well, the world wouldn't be where it is today. We wouldn't have the technology we have, we wouldn't have the same general morals we have as a race, and (on a more personal level) we wouldn't each have had the experiences which make us the individuals we are, and deserve to be.
And I definitely wouldn't be about to introduce you to a brilliant tune.
Listen, smile, and let the words which are sung mean something personal to you. That's what music is about: emotion.
I'll be back soon, I promise.

its the track called 'Travels'.)
I wish there was another way to tell you of my plans,
its the track called 'Travels'.)
I wish there was another way to tell you of my plans,
If Shakespeare was around today I'd ask him for a hand.
I'm headed out to cross the sea, to find a second home,
I'm hoping that the world stands still while I'm traveling alone.
But in the end I'll come back 'round the world to your front door,
&& never leave again just me and you for ever more.
I hope you understand the reasons why I cannot stay,
&& why my vessel home will only land in early May.
There's something deep inside my heart that says I need to go,
I know that you'll be fine, you are the strongest girl I know.
But in the end I'll come back 'round the world to your front door,
&& never leave again just me and you forever.
But in the end I'll come back 'round the world to your front door,
&& never leave again just me and you forever.
I wonder what you'll do when I am sitting in the trees,
I wonder what you'll say when passers by ask if you're pleased.
I know that everytime I see your picture on the wall,
To a sad and lonely state of mind I'll probably fall.
&& by the time I'm home will you still need me like before?
I do confess I'm worried about all these things in store.
But in the end I'll come back 'round the world to your front door,
&& never leave again just me and you for ever more.
But in the end I'll come back 'round the world to your front door,

Oh, What a Muppet I am
If the title doesn't give you enough of a hint, hopefully todays first item will be a good introduction:
ITS MUPPET WEEK!
So, here is my personal favourite of all the things I'm about to show you.
ITS MUPPET WEEK!
So, here is my personal favourite of all the things I'm about to show you.
The Muppets Bohemian Rhapsody
Queen adaptations are always fun.
Next up, something I want to bake at some point:
Cookie Monster Cookies
Nom nom nom.
This next one was hard to choose, but I couldn't do a Muppets post without at least ONE video from one of their movies.
The Muppets Treasure Island: Shiver My Timbers
When I thought about it, the choice wasn't really that hard.
&& finally, mixing this weeks theme with a strong passion of mine, music:
Beaker's Ode To Joy
Now, its time for saying goodbye.

WARNING: THIS POST CONTAINS SIGNS Follow Up
Little late, again. I'm getting bad at this '8 o'clock-ish' thing.
ANYWAY:
I honestly don't know how I forgot to include this guy in my original post. This picture literally made me laugh out loud for 10 solid minutes. Love it.
